Gratitude Sculpture Sketch, watercolor on paper, 12 by 14 in. Emilia Kallock 2918. I would like to do a sculpture of 12 ft hands emerging from the ground symbolizing my gratitude to the earth. Also, Sri Chinmoy’s quote inspired me : Every morning try to greet God with only one thing: an ever-increasing gratitude-gift.

I’ve found when one begins the day (or process of whatever) with a heart centered feeling of gratitude, it sets the stage for a much more efficient, productive and expansive possibility, in whatever you seek out to accomplish. I show this with the color floats of possibility drifting out to their potentiality .
Awareness Portrait, acrylic on paper, 10 by 10 in. Emilia Kallock 2018. This portrait illustrates how my thought process works when I am conscious of which thoughts I want to expand. I liken it to a frenzy of shooting stars, some of which I will select to expand upon- represented by the two large eye stars. This phenomenon arises from the many mindfulness practices I’ve studied as if late, including works by Sri Chinmoy, Megan Sillito, and Access Consciousnesses methodology among others.

I expanded more on the hands-emerging-from-earth image for a sculpture, but this time with two left hands, signifying those of a couple working together reaching out, with gratitude and curiosity. Wind, watercolor on paper, 8 by 10 in. Emilia Kallock 2018. How does one illustrate wind? With the effects it has on the things it touches? I’m interested in drawing it because it’s like trying to portray emotions. They’re invisible, but the tangible effects show up in the material world.
