I finally completed this painting today, happy with the glitter as finishing touches.  The work is based on when one has an event that brings one to their knees, and re-organizes life in a new paradigm because of the impact.  It signifies both the humbling and new beginning aspect of the occurrence.

Work by anthropologist Marija Gimbutas and tales of Northwest Coast Native Peoples’ diety Tsonokwa provided some inspiration for this piece, Untitled Figure, completed October 2015.
